    Singapore Market Research

Singapore Market Research – Singapore, a city located in the southern part of the Malay Peninsula, is about 85 miles (137 km) north of the Equator. It consists of the diamond-shaped island of Singapore and about 60 small islands; the main island occupies everything except 18 square miles of this covered area. The main island is separated from Peninsular Malaysia to the north by the Johor Strait, a narrow crossroads and railway line more than half a mile long. The southern border of the state runs through Singapore Strait, where the islands outside the Riau-Lingga Archipelago — which forms part of Indonesia — extend within six miles [10 km] of the main island.

Singapore is the largest port in Southeast Asia and one of the busiest in the world. It owes its growth and prosperity to its southernmost tip of the Malay Peninsula, where it dominates the Strait of Malacca, which links the Indian Ocean to the South China Sea. Formerly a British colony and now a member of the Commonwealth, Singapore first joined the Federation of Malaysia in its formation in 1963 but established itself as an independent state on August 9, 1965.

Singapore’s cultural activities are largely based on, one of the largest communities in China, India, Indonesia, or the West. Traditional Chinese and Indian music, painting, and live performances were performed by many cultural communities and professional groups. Popular culture, based on modern media, is widespread. Malay music, which has embraced the rhythm of Western orchestras, is very appealing. Music films make Hindi and Tamil songs do the following, such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the United States.

Singapore’s national flower is a hybrid orchid, Vanda ‘Miss Joaquim’, named in memory of a Singaporean-born Armenian woman who discovered a flower in her garden in Tanjong Pagar in 1893. Many national symbols such as the Coat of arms of Singapore and the lion symbol of Singapore use the lion, as Singapore is known as Lion City. Major religious festivals are public holidays.

The diversity of Singapore cuisine is considered a reason to visit the country, due to the combination of ease of use, variety, quality, and price. Local food items are usually related to a particular ethnic group – Chinese, Malay, and Indians; but food diversity has increased significantly with a combination of different styles (e.g., Peranakan cuisine, a combination of Chinese and Malay cuisine). In retail outlets, cultural diversity is represented by Malay hawker stalls and vendors of Tamil food. Chinese stalls can bring Malay ingredients, recipes, or dishes all into their food range. Hainanese chicken rice, derived from Hainanese Wenchang chicken, is considered Singapore’s national dish.

Singapore has a highly developed market economy, which is historically based on more illegal trade. Together with Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan, Singapore is one of the Four Asian Tigers but surpasses its peers in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita. Between 1965 and 1995, growth rates are estimated at 6 percent per annum, which are changing people’s living standards.

Singapore’s economy is considered to be free, innovative, powerful, and commercially viable. For several years, Singapore has been one of the few countries to have AAA credit ratings out of the three largest, and the only Asian country to receive this rating. Singapore attracts large amounts of foreign investment due to its location, skilled labor, low tax rates, high-quality infrastructure, and zero tolerance for corruption. It is the world’s most competitive economy, according to the World Economic Forum for 141 countries, and the second-highest GDP per capita. There are more than 7,000 international organizations from the United States, Japan, and Europe in Singapore. About 44% of Singapore’s employees are made up of non-Singaporeans. In addition to market freedom, Singapore’s government jobs play an important role in the economy, accounting for 22% of GDP. The city is a popular venue for conferences and events.

The Singapore currency is the Singapore dollar (SGD or S $), issued by the Singapore Monetary Authority (MAS).  It is exchanged with the Brunei dollar for a similar price since 1967. MAS manages its monetary policy by allowing the Singapore dollar exchange rate to rise or fall below an undisclosed trade belt. This is in contrast to many central banks, which use interest rates to manage the policy. Singapore has eleven of the world’s last 11 largest deposits and is one of the world’s highest per capita investment destinations.

Singapore has a very high percentage of billions of worlds, one in six households having at least one million US dollars in non-disposable wealth. This excludes goods, businesses, and luxury goods, which, if added, would increase the number of millionaires, especially since Singapore’s assets are among the most expensive in the world. In 2016, Singapore was rated as the most expensive city in the world for the third year in a row by the Economist Intelligence Unit, and this continued to be true in 2018.
