Bahrain Market Research – Bahrain, a small Arab country located south of the southwest coast of the Persian Gulf. It is an island with Bahrain Island and about 30 other islands. Its name comes from the Arabic al-baḥrayn, meaning “two seas.” Located in one of the world’s leading oil-producing regions, Bahrain itself owns only petroleum stores. Instead, its economy has long relied on the use of crude oil from neighboring countries, and more recently the financial, commercial, and telecommunications sectors have grown significantly, as well as tourism. The capital, port, and capital, Manama (Al-Manāmah), is located in the northeastern part of Bahrain Island. An amazing modern city, Manama is spacious and crowded and is a popular destination for tourists from neighboring Saudi Arabia; on weekends, crowds of Saudis gather in the city to enjoy restaurants and bars. Yet the people of Bahrain always take care of their own way of life. This sentiment is embedded in the country’s constitution, which guarantees that “the family is the cornerstone of society, its power lies in religion, morality, and patriotism.”

The state-of-the-art arts organization in the country officially emerged in the 1950s, eventually establishing an arts community. Expressionism and surrealism, as well as calligraphic art, are the most popular forms of art in the world. The practice of Abstract expressionism has gained popularity in recent decades. Bottle making and fabric making are also popular products made in Bahraini. Arabian calligraphy grew in popularity as the Bahraini government was an active director of Islamic art, eventually leading to the establishment of the Islamic Museum, Beit Al Quran. The Bahraini national museum has a state-of-the-art exhibition of contemporary art.

Music is an important part of Bahrain’s life. There is a rich tradition of traditional folk music, and even the fiddle songs, once sung by pearl divers, are still heard. Since 1991 the country has had an annual music festival. Although the country does not have a film industry, going to the movies is a popular activity, and some Bahrain movie theaters show English-language films. At the beginning of the 21st century, the government launched a program to promote the development of the theater.

Although it was the first oil mill (1932), Bahrain will likely be the first to complete its depots. As a result, Bahrain has developed one of the most diverse economies in the Persian Gulf region. Bahrain’s economic activity, like that of other Arab provinces in the Persian Gulf, is focused on the production of crude oil and natural gas and in refining petroleum products, making the country more sensitive to fluctuations in the global oil market. Bahrain has built on its long tradition of shipping and trade, however, and has been more successful than any other region in this area in developing manufacturing and commercial and financial services. The non-oil sector includes petroleum chemicals, ship repair, aluminum refining, and light production. Aluminum Bahrain state-owned B.S.C. (Alba), one of the world’s largest aluminum smelting metals, with Bapco has been profitable, but this has provided little incentive to make things their own. Bahrain remains the most important commercial and financial center in the country, despite the growing competition from the United Arab Emirates.

Coffee is an important part of public health. Coffee shops are popular meeting places, and coffee is offered as a sign of hospitality. It is usually indicated with cardamom and saffron. Bahraini cuisine usually includes fish, shrimp, meat, rice, and dates. Machbous is a popular traditional dish of fish or meat served with rice. Other common foods include muḥammar, sweet brown rice with sugar or dates, and shāwarmah, roasted lamb, beef, or chicken.

Traditional Bahrain-based industries developed dhows (rope-sailing vessels), fishing, barking, and reed mats. These activities are now being done on a small scale. Ship repairs are handled in Mīnāʾ Salmān, near Manama, and in the main courtyard of Al-ʿAzl Island. The light industry includes the production of building materials, furniture, soft drinks, plastics, and a variety of consumer goods. Government has a significant financial share in all of these modern industries. In addition to Alba’s aluminum alloy steel, and aluminum milling machine was launched in 1986 that makes products such as window frames and doors. The government has encouraged the growth of banking, insurance, and other financial services, and as a result, Bahrain has become an important financial center, especially in the coastal bank. These activities have added to the country’s balance of payments. Bahrain has also been able to benefit from its long-term trade
