Iceland, an island country located in the North Atlantic Ocean. Situated on a continuous geologic border running between North America and Europe, Iceland is a country with a clear geographical, geographical, and cultural difference. Snow-covered glaciers, such as the Vatna Glacier (Vatnajökull), the largest in Europe, traverse the beautiful mountain ranges; heat-filled gears provide heat to many of the country’s homes and buildings and allow for local agriculture throughout the year; The offshore Gulf Stream offers amazingly hot weather which is one of the most developed in the north.

The capital, Reykjavík (“Bay of Smokes”), is the site of the first farmland and is a thriving city, ideal for youth and global views. Other major centers for residents are Akureyri, on the north-central coast; Hafnarfjördhur, on the southwest coast; and Selfoss, in the southern regions.

Akureyri is the largest city in Iceland except for the Great Center. Most of the rural towns are based on the fishing industry, which provides 40 percent of Icelandic exports.

Iceland was the seventh-largest country in the world per capita (the US $ 54,858), and the fifth-highest in terms of GDP in purchasing power equality ($ 40,112). About 85% of all Iceland’s primary energy sources are based on renewable energy sources. The use of more hydroelectric and geothermal power has made Iceland the world’s largest producer of electricity per capita.  Historically, Iceland’s economy has relied heavily on fishing, which continues to contribute 40% of its exports and employs 7% of the population. The economy is at risk of a decline in fish stocks and world commodity prices due to the main commodity exports: fish and fish products, aluminum, and ferrosilicon. The treatment in Iceland was historically significant.
